Evan Rapoport,
Chief Executive Officer

Evan Rapoport is the CEO and Founder of HedgeCoVest, an innovative SMA/UMA hedge fund platform for advisors and investors that combines real time liquidity, position level transparency, brokerage account security, and flat fees. Mr. Rapoport conceived HedgeCoVest based on his experience creating and managing HedgeCo.Net, one of the world’s most trafficked marketplaces for hedge fund information. Today, HedgeCo.net has well over 35,000 subscribers.

Prior to HedgeCo, Mr. Rapoport was a Senior Vice President at Broadband Capital Management in New York City. At Broadband, he managed assets for institutions and high net worth clients, and participated in private placements and PIPE transactions. Previously, Mr. Rapoport worked at Oscar Gruss’ Private Client Group, where he is still the youngest person to be Senior Vice President in the history of the NYSE member. Mr. Rapoport started his career in a Chairman’s Council member’s office at Paine Webber. He is recognized as an authority on hedge funds and has been featured on the FOX Business Channel, FOX News, CNBC, MSNBC, Bloomberg, and in leading publications including the Wall Street Journal.

Alex Thompson,
Chief Product Officer

At SMArtX Advisory Solutions, Mr. Alex Thompson serves as the Director of Product Development. Alex focuses on product strategy and marketing and works directly with the development team in building SMArtX’s managed accounts technology. Alex joined HedgeCo Networks in 2009 and served as Due Diligence Coordinator and Executive Vice President of the firm’s affiliated broker/dealer, HedgeCo Securities. Starting in 2010, Alex developed and operated the firm’s investment management division, HedgeCo Investment Management, that specialized in seed investments for emerging hedge fund managers.

Prior to joining HedgeCo Networks, Alex served as a product manager for JMT Software, which developed Electronic Health Records and Medical Research Administration software solutions, and spent time working as a technology and financial consultant for private medical practices. Alex graduated magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky with “Departmental Honors” from the University’s Finance Faculty.

Aaron Wormus,
Chief Technology Officer

Aaron Wormus is the Chief Technology Officer of SMArtX Advisory Solutions. Focusing on bringing technology solutions to the financial industry, Aaron Wormus has lead the architecture and development of key pieces of Financial technology focused on the advisory and alternatives sector.

Prior to SMArtX, Aaron Wormus has lead the online division of HedgeCo Networks developing the HedgeCo Websites platform. This revolutionary Software as a Service (SaaS) platform enabled them to quickly develop and deploy compliant, secure, and compelling web portals for their 500+ hedge fund clients. As the Chief Architect of HedgeCo.Net, a hedge fund database that tracks 7000+ funds, Aaron developed the Hedge Fund Calculator a powerful statistics and analytic engine, and marketing material generation tool.

Prior to working with HedgeCo Networks, Mr. Wormus worked as an independent consultant implementing back-end systems for clients ranging from telecommunications companies to mining companies and Silicon Valley software distributors.

Alex Smith-Ryland,
Chief Marketing Officer

Alexander Smith-Ryland is responsible for identifying and expanding strategic opportunities for SMArtX by working with investment managers, investors, and industry contacts. In addition, he manages the national sales effort. Mr. Smith-Ryland has over 15 years of experience in alternative asset management, including working with hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds, as well as advisory services to alternative asset investors.

Mr. Smith-Ryland has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in marketing, from Georgetown University. In addition to his duties at SMArtX, he is currently a registered representative of HedgeCo Securities and holds the Series 7, 63, and 66 securities licenses. Finally, he is also the Managing Partner of CS Wilton Group, a single family office.

Lou Milano,
Chief Compliance Officer

Lou Milano provides SMArtX with more than 40-years of experience in the securities industry guiding compliance efforts for Fortune 500 corporations and firms including Prudential-Bache Securities, Citicorp, Daiwa Securities, and Cabot Lodge. As Chief Compliance Officer for SMArtX, Mr. Milano is also responsible for overseeing and managing all day-to-day regulatory compliance issues for, HedgeCo Securities, an affiliated broker dealer.

Mr. Milano joins the SMArtX team after spending the past ten-years building a robust compliance program for Natixis North America. Before Natixis, Mr. Milano managed an equities broker dealer for KBC. Mr. Milano started his career at the NYSE, and worked as an Options Inspector for the AMEX. Mr. Milano was recently accepted to the FINRA Arbitrator program. He holds Series 3, 4, 5, 7,14,15, 24, and 79 Securities licenses. Mr. Milano earned a Paralegal Degree from New York University and his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marist College.

Joseph Goldstein,
Chief Finance Officer

Joseph provides complete oversight of all G&S fund services including team sales, business development and operations. Joseph Goldstein has over 30 years of experience in finance and controllership.

Goldstein has been the chief financial officer for more than 15 companies, in ten different industries, including senior level management positions in the following Fortune 500 companies: CitiesService Company (Citgo), in which he served as group CFO-Plastics and Special Products, assistant to Corporate Controller – compliance(Sec, FASB) and Itel Corporation, a data and financial service company in which he served as CFO of five divisions and groups.

Joseph earned an Master of Business Administration in Finance and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Long Island University and has served as an adjunct lecturer of finance in the City University of New York since 1986.
